be taught history

On January,11 2013,we ,eleven science three were given a task to be a history  teacher .So we made  group consisting of two students and the two student will be the history teacher turn  with  other  groups.While a group was explained their subject,the other students listened the explanation carefully .

When i was listened the other group explanation,so far i still feel little bit bored about their explanation .The others ,some were busy talking with their friends,some were sleeping and the situation of the class getting noisy,although the’History Teacher’ had asked them to be quiet.I don’t know what made me and my friends so bored,maybe the way they explain weren’t amusing us or the subject matter were only war .Actually i don’t like war,conflict,battle,something anger or violence,etc.The handout they gave for us is good enough for me,but the font is too small sometimes and it will make our sight began to be tired and finally made us lazy to read that handout.

Usually,when they finished explain,they always gave us a game ,like answer their question  with various model and rules.Actually,most of their game were fun and good.It’s creative.But i think the question were very easy and didn’t chalenge us to be more competitate.In some groups,during they explained,they looked didn’t enthusiastic with their subject matter and even some of them only read the slide .

Most of us usually only like the films they gave.That’s show us that many of eleven science three students don’t like reading.I think every explained must be variated with joke or other  things,so that it will make us easy to remember the subject and we can also more enthusiasm to study the lesson.

My experience to be a history teacher

I made a group with Naya,my friends to be a history teacher.At the first,when we chose the history subject,we were very confused because many of history subject is about war and the other groups had chosen it.So to make it more different with the others we chose about Nelson Mandela battle against apartheid.Then we searched the information about Mandela  and video abot apartheid.We did that.After that,we planned the game and finally we decide  to make the game like “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire” or Quiz,that’s  we do in the first and second day.The third day,we created the handout for students  by made summary about Mandela struggle .We also bought present for the winner of our game and we packed it.

Finally,the day of our performance arrived.First we open the video for the opening and then we introduced ourselves.During my explanation some students were talking,but there were some students who were still listening our explanation,they also asked us about apartheid.All of those activity continued until we finish our teaching in that day.

From these activity,now i can understand that to be a good teacher isn’t easy like we imagine before.Because we must work hard to make our students listen to us.And it is difficult to teach many various student(naughty,lazy,ignorant,noisy,etc).I hope more students appreciate their teacher,try to understand their subject by not making the class noisy,etc.By the way,(from this experience) i think i can’t will be a good teacher because i am not patient enough to teach various students and i have a less passion with that job.
