Unit 8

In Indonesia,the public election was carried out once in five years to choose the new president and vice president in the next period.Indonesian people who are 17 years old are allowed to vote in a poll to find out which candidates will be the next leader of our country,Indonesia.The essential principles that need our attention are  secret, free, public, direct, fair, and honest as the base of the election.No one is allowed to commit fraud,even the goverment ministers who have the high position in the eyes of state.All the residents,regardless of rank,rich or  poor,educated or not,everyone has to join the public election. Therefore, not only success people such as the government minister,civil servant, cabin crew,estate agents can take a part in this election. But also the middle people such as road sweeper, office boy,servants,farmer.Why?All the professions,both high and low are closely linked to the progress of the nation and state.that’s why all the resident should be active to take part in this election.

Beside that,in this election the president and the vice president’s knowledge and attitude are also considered. If they are known doing bad action or the way they solve a problem isn’t as good as people think,it will affect the  result of the vote,and the result is supposed coming well down or come much lower down than we think before.

In the end,the candidates who lost or win,they were equally respected though.Because they have tried as much as possible to the best leader for the nation and the state.
